The German brand was originally founded way back in 1875, making it one of the oldest fishing tackle brands on Earth. Throughout its long and illustrious history, DAM has achieved many great accolades including being one of the first European brands to offer fishing rods made entirely of carbon in the 1970s, creating the first-ever German branded fishing line with patent and trademark in DAMYL, launching the world-famous Quick reel brand, and creating the million-selling EFFZETT spinners and spoons.
